Hospitality workers throughout the UK have collated a series of fascinating tales, releasing them in a new book called 'Short Stories From Down the Pub'.
The book has been written to raise money for the Licensed Trade Charity - set up to support hospitality workers in times of hardship. Written during the pandemic, 'Short Stories From Down the Pub' helps remember everything great about the Great British Pub.
During lockdown, the hospitality sector united to share their favourite pub stories which would serve as a creative escape from the prison of their own homes. The first tale arrived in February 2021 and countless others followed in the coming months until the June 2021 deadline - just in time for our beloved pubs to reopen their doors without restrictions.
The book includes some hilarious anecdotes and moving tales, from tarantula escapes to fund raising efforts for strangers in need. We urge anyone that has worked in hospitality or simply loves a proper pub experience to give it a read!
All proceeds from the book will go directly to the Licensed Trade Charity.
