Emergency Evacuation Plan - Licensed premises Letting Rooms - Unstaffed (Night time)

 

The hotel will not be staffed or supervised during the none trading hours (night time).  There will be no help available to guests during the none trading hours (night time) to assist them in responding to the fire evacuation signal and to safely evacuate the premises.

Guests should make staff immediately aware when booking into site of any reason that would prevent their safe evacuation from the building.  

Immediate Actions to take

 

On discovering a fire

  • Leave the room or space and close the door behind you.
  • Raise the alarm by operating the nearest fire alarm call point then leave the building and proceed to the assembly point.
  • Close all other doors on the way out.
  • Phone 999 and report the fire to the Fire and Rescue Service.
  • Liaise with the Fire Service and the key holder on arrival.

 

On hearing the alarm

  • Leave the room or space and close the door behind you.
  • Proceed to the assembly point.
  • Close all other doors on the way out.
  • Liaise with other occupants and ensure a phone call is made to the Fire and Rescue service.
  • Then phone the key holder.

 

Contact emergency services

  • This is done automatically by the fire warning systems link to an alarm receiving centre.
  • Subsequent phone calls are to be made by any guests dial 999.

 

Arrangements for a safe evacuation 

  • Evacuate the building via the nearest safe exit and proceed to the assembly point.

     

    Escape routes

  • Fire Instructions, a map or diagram should be displayed within the letting room. Guests are asked to make themselves familiar with the floor plan and escape routes available. All escape routes will be signed. 

     

    Emergency Services

  • The guests should liaise with the emergency services on arrival. They will meet the Fire Officer at the assembly point and will give them any information to hand.

    Location of Assembly Point

  • The assembly point is situated at the car park across the road.  

     

    Re-entering the building

  • Guests will be informed when they can re-enter the building on the instructions of the attending Senior Fire Officer or Hotel Representative.

     

    Procedures to follow if the building cannot be re-entered

  • The hotel representative/ key Holder will make decisions regard relocation of guests during inclement weather or extensive damage to the building.

     

    Disabled and vulnerable groups

     

  • Guests will be required to immediately evacuate on the fire alarm signal / evacuation signal being given and self-evacuate at any time of the day. It will be necessary for guests to be able to hear and respond to the evacuation signal and self-evacuate without assistance or help from others.
